One Year

When you’ve been running for a while, you get to a stage where things start to feel easy. You get to know your body. You get to know this organic machine that you’ve aged with. You get to know the squeeze of your muscles. The clack of your joints. And the squeal of your heart.

And when you find the pace that’s right for you, it feels like you’re flying.

As of today, we’ve been together for one whole year. It’s gone by in a flash and we’ve already done so much.

The thing is, it doesn’t feel like we’re rushing. I feel at ease. And when the milestones come, I am able to say yes without fear.

You and I—we run at the same pace.

And it feels like flying.
